MORE THAN JUST A CLINIC
This year we expect to do over 200 BFS Clinics. Our BFS Clinicians are quite remarkable. They are some of most outstanding coaches in the nation. But, they are even more than that. They coach with

Through the use of pictures, I have tried to capture the basics of a BFS Clinic.

BFS Clinician Jim Brown taking a West Seneca West High School (New York) athlete through his 11 heavy reps on the Box Squat. Head Football Coach, Jim Kuhn said, "The result of the BFS Clinic was immediate. Our weight room was hopping the following Monday. The enthusiasm and effort was outstanding. On a scale of one to ten, Coach Brown is an eleven. I would like to thank BFS and Coach Brown for making our clinic a very knowledgeable and rewarding weekend."

Just one hour later this same Hilmar athlete has completely recovered to jump as high or higher than ever before. This teaches the power of the BFS Program during in-season training.

Cathedral High School in California at their BFS Clinic. Head Football Coach, Rick Baughman writes, "After our BFS Clinic, we began our summer workouts the next morning. What a difference! The weight room was crawling with athletes from all sports wanting to do power cleans, squats and snatches! In the past, all they wanted to do was bench. But just as important, I feel more confidence in teaching these lifts."

These two Burroughs High School athletes are studying the Be An Eleven Guidebook before their seminar. After the seminar, Coach Shepard conducted a repeat, advanced BFS Clinic. Head Football Coach, Jeff Steinberg reported on the improvement of their Pride Club. To belong, an athlete must lift at least a total of 600 pounds between their bench, power clean and true parallel squat. In 1998 their were 10 players, in 1999- 29 players and in 2000- 39 players. Coach Steinberg says, "Our players truly believe that success in December is in direct relation to the work put in between January and August."

Every summer we have a BFS Clinicians Conference. Last July we spent three intensive days to better ourselves as clinicians. This year we had 18 in attendance. In August I called Head Football Coach, Troy Everhart, from Winton Woods High School in Ohio. He had just had Len Walencikowski conduct his BFS Clinic. Troy's wife answered the phone. After introducing myself, she exclaimed, "We are a BFS family!" Then Troy said, "Len gave us an absolutely incredible experience! We have just tested through the roof. Twenty-two kids power cleaned 225 or more. Last year we had only two. Len poured out his whole heart and soul."
