However, nothing could have prepared him or his coaches for the breaks in his lower leg on that practice pole vault. &nbsp;</P> <P>"It was devastating," said Coach Scurran. Jeff was an Academic All-State quarterback as a junior and a 1st team All-Conference quarterback.
