We ve also got one heck of a lifter in John Weirzbicki, who has deadlifted 600 lbs on two separate occasions! <br><br>Not only has the BFS program helped Cole gain strength, he feels it s been responsible for keeping him relatively injury free.  In 1996 I partially tore my NCL and ruptured my ACL. I think it would have been worse if not for the weight training, says Cole.  I think the training has really helped me keep from reinjuring it this year. <br><br>As for advice for other young playerseight training coincides with my try-outs so there s extra incentive for the girls to do it. <br>So why is Coach Zavala so sold on the BFS program?  I ve seen the gains and improvements. We jump very well, the girls are quicker and we have fewer injuries. We can play a two-hour match and ask who s sore the next day, and no one utters a groan. Three years ago that wasn t the case. Their bodies just don t wear down now. <br>Not surprising, Coach Zavala is now weight training two days a week herself!<br><br>A Senior Coming <br>On Strong<br><br>The changes in means to lose a part of themslves, and how much it hurts to wreck your own dreams. I would also like to send my deepest apologies to everyone, especially my tammates. <br> The other day I was asked bout the whole situation and if I learned from it. I knew the answer and so did this individual. Then, as I walked away, I was told that I was not the only one who learned from it, so did everyone else. Please think twice before you do something stupid, and never forget your dreams.<br>Note: This athlete went on to wrestle and won the State Championship at 190 defeatng two wrestlers in the tournament that had defeated him during the season. I also use the log books as a student plannr and count them as ten-to-fifteen percent of their overall grade."<br>Coach McGee has done a superb job with that little school from Ash Fork, Arizona. As his athletes continue to push the limits, they will pioneer a standard of excellence to be followed by all.
