And I think it's those little extra things that can make the difference between being a champion and being almost a champion.<br><br>BFS: Jesseca is now a grad assistant and will be working with your team this season. What are your expectations from her as a coach?<br><br>LJ: I think the best coaches are those that things didn't come easy for, and she's worked hard for everything she's accomplished. And having carried a 3.8 GPA, she's a great role model for someone entering our program.<br><br>BFS: Kevin Mannon followed you from the University of South Carolina. Has he lived up to your expectations?<br><br>LJ: Thest of the practice. The saying,  Practice does not make perfect, practice makes permanent, is posted in the locker room every fall. Coaches focus in on teaching the smallest details, and players focus in on learning their techniques to perfection. The amount of attention paid to detail, coupled with the ever-present focusing on the ultimate goal, made the Woodbury Royal football players develop into championship players.<br>With the foundation that championship people make up championship players, the Royals successfully acquired the necessary ingredients to become a championship team. Picked to finish fourth in their conference in 1998 by the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Royals felt as though they wanted to earn respect across the state. However, the respect the Royals sought was not of the superficial kind that so many professional athletes rant and rave about - the Royals believed that they were the best team in the state of Minnesota and they were focused on winning the championship and earning the respect of all. <br>Woodbury opened the season with a school record seven straight wins. Coincidentally, the eighth game of the season was against conference rival Hastings High School who was also 7-0 entering the game.The game, to be played on Woodbury's home field for the St. Paul Suburban Conference Championship, was host to nearly 6,000 fans, as well as every television station and newspaper in the Twin Cities area. The Royals opened the game confidently focused on their goal of winning the schools first ever outright conference championship and claiming the number one seed as they headed into sectional play. Kevin has a 33-inch vertical and can dunk very easily.<br><br>BFS: Has the administration at Wyoming been supportive of the track program?<br><br>LJ: Our athletic director is Lee Moon, and he's really given us a lot of support. We've been able to upgrade our facility and our equipment, and all this has given on his shoulders correctly.</P> <P align=left>On the other end of the spectrum, I've seen athletes wimp a bar off the rack.&nbsp; Many times this athlete will not be in a good solid squatting position as he backs up to a ready stance.</P> <P align=left>A far superior way is to come under the bar in a great solid proper power position, making sure everything is correct.&nbsp; Get the bar in the groove on your shoulders.&nbsp; Look straight ahead.&nbsp; Spread the chest.&nbsp;Get in your athletic stance.
