Therefore, the two and three sport athletes have continuity and just don't miss a beat in the transition from one sport to the next. Everyone does the BFS Dot Drill for quick feet. Everyone does the BFS 1-2-3-4 Flexibility program for speed and jumping power. Everyone includes some speed and plyometric drills. Everyone breaks 8 or more personal strength and conditioning records per week even during the season. to, and we videotape them performing the lift, says Herron.  We really emphasize technique with young athletes; we don t try to put too much weight on them. I ve got some great assistant coaches, and they re very good at teaching the lift. Our program is also about kids helping kids too-those who perform the lift well help teach. <br>With his proven football coaching system and a BFS strength training program in place, Herron is set to achieve his ultimate goal of winning a state championship. Although the team may not break many passing records in the process, when it comes to football strength, Herron s players are the fittest  cats around.<br><br><br> We have the BFS training plates so the bar sits up there where it s supposed to, and we videotape them performing the lift, says Herron. Kevin has a 33-inch vertical and can dunk very easily.<br><br>BFS: Has the administration at Wyoming been supportive of the track program?<br><br>LJ: Our athletic director is Lee Moon, and he's really given us a lot of support. We've been able to upgrade our facility and our equipment, and all this has given Kevin and Jesseca the opportunities to accomplish what they have. Our athletes are able to travel to the meets and get the necessary national exposure.<br><br>BFS: With the WAC having expanded to 16 teams, how has this affected track and field?<br><br>LJ: The Rocky Mountain schools have always been traditionally good in the field events and the distance events because of the altitude, and the Texas schools have some of the best sprinters in the country.
