Following the 1998 season, in which league opponent Lebanon had claimed the Ohio Division II State Championship, Coach Warden realized they had to make a change in order to improve their off-season program. While attending the Ohio High School coaches clinic in January of 1999, the Loveland staff listened to Coach Bob Doyle from Chardon, Ohio.
